Raspy

Raspy is a young male leafcutter ant, rather short for his age, who is friends with Raindrop and Pollen. He comes from an extremely large family. His family is so large, in fact, that he often has trouble keeping track of who his brothers and sisters are, and who they are not.

True to his name, Raspy suffers from breathing problems, especially when he has to exert any kind of physical effort. Because of his low stamina , and general physical shortcomings, he’s often a target of bigger male ants, who like to bully him around. 

Raindrop and Pollen do their best to protect him, but that usually just creates more problems for this good-natured ant.

In general, Raspy suffers bullies in silence, although he doesn't like them one bit. As far as his overall personality goes, he's exceedingly affable, docile, but not overly talkative. He trails behind his friends wherever they go, at least when he’s physically capable. Raspy is happy to just be considered part of the gang.
